Registered Dental Assistant Requirements
DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

  • Possess Oregon certificate of radiological proficiency or:
  • Completion of a CODA-accredited course or:
  • Passing score on Oregon board dental exam or DANB certified equivalent course
  • Equivalent certification from another state
  • Recorded at least 1,000 hours of training working alongside a certified dental assistant (CDA)

Radiography Requirements

  • Complete a course certified by Oregon department of human service, radiation protection services, health services or have proof of equivalent certification
  • Passing score on DANB or equivalent radiation safety course
  • Passing score on Oregon clinical radiation exam or equivalent DANB certified course
